When we came up with the idea for Grubby’s Poke and Fish Market, our goal was to be more than just another generic restaurant in Carlsbad. We wanted to create a sustainably-conscious organization that works to give back to the community. We were born and raised in North County, and a requirement of any restaurant that carries the Grubby’s name is that it gives back to the local community and makes its a better place. That is why we are incredibly involved in the community and celebrate sustainable, local food.

Grubby’s Poke & Fish Market features fresh, local fish caught here in North County San Diego. We have partnered with Atlantic Sapphire, a local fishery in Oceanside that only offers fish that is free of pesticides, hormones, and antibiotics. Atlantic Sapphire also utilizes windmills to generate electricity on their farm, making it a sustainable, environmentally friendly and healthy choice for fresh fish.

We think of the local community as all part of one big family. Being overly competitive with other businesses creates an unhealthy ecosystem in the neighborhood that can be hazardous. We Provide Healthy Food for the Whole Family

We try to offer a healthy alternative for a family looking to go out to eat. Fish is a great and healthy option, full of essential nutrients and vitamins. We also have our own water filtration system on site, called Eco-water, providing alkaline water free of toxins and debris. The soda that we offer on-site features pure cane sugar only, avoiding the artificial sweeteners of other sodas that is proving to be quite unhealthy.
